As you may have already read, our first Raspberry Pi arrived earlier today!

    Hi Jim,

    I had no idea you were doing so much on the Pi front. Next time you are up my way you will have to let me buy you a pint so I can pick your brains. I’m hoping to pick up a handful of Pi’s (got to be careful how you type that) for a number of projects I have in mind.

    (1) Media server
    (2) MAME or SNES emulator
    (3) To run educational software for the grandson

    But my big project will be to use it as a remote data gathering tool to feed data in to Excel for analysis. I was going to use the Arduino for this but the Pi looks like a better out of the box solution.
